Revision is the most important part of
the writing process. As serious writers, you know that the muse is fickle. It
is through the editing process that we begin to refine and sculpt our
messages.
As writers, we also know that there comes a point when we are
no longer good judges of our manuscripts—we can no longer look at them with
fresh perspectives.
Enter that crucial element—a
good editor. I will provide the extra set of
professional eyes your manuscript deserves. I will give you both honest feedback and encouragement.
After all, we write for an audience. Make sure your manuscript is saying what you want it to say.

"Nancy's
critiques help me tell my stories better, while still sounding like my
writing. She provides the perspective of a reader, which helps me see what a
reader might get or miss."
Ronica Roth,

Frequently Asked Questions

"Nancy's pleasant attitude throughout our interaction was a
big plus, but my greatest salute to her
is the proficient fashion in which she honored all
the timeframe commitments. Her
responsive, studied approach to the work was greatly appreciated."

"How lucky I feel to have found Nancy
Stohlman for my editor. Her comprehensive editing suggestions over the last
few months have improved my novel and my writing skills tenfold.
Her patience and clarity in pointing out the numerous grammatical and
stylistic improvements that my manuscript needed were liberally punctuated by
praise for the well turned phrase, well developed character, intelligent
concept, and unique perspective. Nancy, this could be the start of a
beautiful professional friendship."
